Patricia Vaughan, Esq.

Patricia Vaughan joined the Population Council in 1997 as general counsel and was appointed corporate secretary in 2006. She manages the Council’s legal and regulatory affairs, ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant laws and standards in the conduct of its research and operations around the world. She also helps manage the Council’s business relationships with the pharmaceutical industry. Her substantive areas of practice include intellectual property, licensing, contracts, employment, integrity of research, and not-for-profit, international, and corporate governance.

Before joining the Council, Vaughan was in private practice in New York City and served as general counsel of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.
